Chicken strips deep fried in seed oil is not good for you. It contains very harmful ingredients for your gut. However, this doesn't mean you can't enjoy chicken strips. Look at these chicken strips we have created at Wing Chefs! Transforming this fast food favourite into a gut healthy sensation! The texture of the chicken is perfection, so tender and succulent because it is marinated for 24 hours in buttermilk. Buttermilk helps with digestion and tenderises the chicken before cooking. We coats the chicken in bread crumbs, we use stale sourdough to a ours surplus food wastage. We use a tiny bit of avocado oil or your can brush with extra virgin olive oil. We bake for 20 minutes to 75oc. We glaze once cooked with our homemade fermented kimchi sweet and sour sauce or my personal favourite smoked sea salt and cracked black pepper. It tastes just like deep fried breaded chicken but it has a better texture and it's good for your gut.
we use beyond free range chicken from a local chicken farm to support sustainable farming methods. However, the buttermilk is the essential ingredient in transforming g this fast food into gut healthy friendly. You can prepare ahead of time and slam in the oven for a quick family meal, salad topper, snack, kids meal or party food. This is what I love about gut healthy dishes, it's all in the preparation. It's actually as easy as a ready meal but you replace ultra processed with delicious whole food which actually doesn't increase the budget or take up more time. Once you adjust, it's beavomes easy and it feels great knowing you are yielding benefits from your meals.
